Wild Horses Monument

While the official name for this monument is ‘Grandfather Cuts Loose The Ponies’ the sign which has been installed calls it ‘Wild Horses Monument’. Learn more about the history of it here.

These two images were taken along the way from Seattle to Helena, MT on April 30, 2021 with the Canon EOS R and the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 S. The lower image is a three shot panorama taken with the 70-200 and then stitched together in Lightroom. The resulting image is a whopping 113 megapixels and took a signfificant reduction in size to make it practical to use on this page.
