A Clear Sky.

Bandon Beach, Bandon, Oregon, June 20, 2023 (approximately 8:30pm PST)

Cathedral Rock in the left lower corner, Face Rock and Cat and Kittens Rock(s) to the right.

This past week on the southern Oregon coast there was one clear night where, not only could you actually see the sunset, but there was visibility of both the crescent moon and Venus (Venus is visible directly above Face Rock). Prior to the emergence of the crescent moon Venus was the brightest object in the northern hemisphere’s night sky.
